On Friday, Innessa Levina Co-Chair of the Connecticut Chapter welcomed the group and Assistant United States Attorney Michael S. Emmerman, presented “The Global Money Laundering Landscape and “Operational Intersects”” to the conference attendees.

Download Presentation September 6, 2017 The ACAMS Connecticut Chapter hosted a “Law Enforcement Appreciation” dinner and learning event at Amarante’s Sea Cliff in New Haven, CT on Wednesday September 6, 2017.

The event was well attended with strong representation by law enforcement officers from eight federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and financial crime professionals from over twenty organizations.

AUSA Spector also highlighted the increasing misuse of prescription drugs by teenagers and gave tips on how to discuss and prevent such abuse in the home. Daly, US Attorney for the State of Connecticut, addressed the group, stressing the importance of the work done by AML professionals.

She informed the audience that her office gives SAR filings priority and reviews all that they receive, reinforcing how valuable the reports are to law enforcement.
